Our Vision
City Renewal Foundation is our non-profit organisation. As the hands and feet of the Lord Jesus we exist to renew the lives of the materially poor through holistic, gospel-centred care. We know that the challenges our beneficiaries face are complex. So, we take a multifaceted approach to meet their needs. Our mission is to offer comprehensive support that allows people to break free from poverty and thrive.

Our Approach
To lift an individual out of poverty requires holistic help. It’s hard to learn on an empty stomach. It’s hard to eat with an aching body, have self-worth while begging, or change without the gospel. Upward social mobility requires comprehensive care.

Spiritual Mentorship
Most people enter the process with a few basic needs; food, addictions, or the need for work. During this phase we are attempting to stabilize the individual. We have a food programme, addiction treatment plan, and opportunities for volunteerism.
We then seek to move from initial basic support to achieving self-sufficiency. This is achieved through skills development programmes such as our farming, security, or barrister programmes. Or it’s achieved through helping people continue their education. Or assisting them their micro enterprises.
Skills Development
Providing access to skills programs to enhance competencies and employment prospects.
Employment Support
Offering assistance with CV writing, funding opportunities, and connections to potential employers.
Developing Small Business
Through Renew Business Forum we connect entrepreneurs and business people to purpose and to one another.
Education Fund
Establishing a fund to support individuals in completing secondary education and pursuing higher education for personal and professional growth.
Community Assistance
Delivering aid to impoverished communities through nutritious meals, food parcels, and local agricultural programs to promote food security.
Addiction Treatment
Through Ithemba Hope For Healing we provide comprehensive support for individuals overcoming substance dependence.
Spiritual Formation
Through whole life gospel-centred discipleship we seek to equip people to be Christ followers.

Our Partners
The end goal is that we would see people established in the love of Christ and self-sufficient members of their communities. To achieve this, we have various in-house organisations and external partners that we collaborate with. We are not specialists at everything. And therefore, we have an ecosystemic approach, leveraging partnerships with local businesses, non-profit organisations, and churches.
