At Renew church one of our values is discipleship. And as we move ahead into a new chapter discipleship we want to continue to embody this value. What is discipleship and how do we do it? What mental picture comes to mind when you hear "God the Father"? Is it perhaps a picture of someone stern with a big white beard? Maybe its someone strong but distant? Perhaps you even have contrasting pictures of God the Son and God the Father? Our mental images are revealing. But there's also an image of God the Father that comes through persistently in the Scriptures. Join us as we explore the significance of your heavenly paternal relationship and what it means for you.

Many people grow up not being loved well. Even the best parents are imperfect and make mistakes. This leaves scars. But in the Bible we are told that "God is love". This characteristic of God is life changing when fully appropriated. But often things get in the way of experiencing this love.
